I didn’t imagine how productive you can be by just working on something else. It sparked at me though many fine ideas. It brings me back to the good old Flash experimental days too when I used to get fantastic stuff on myspace. This time I can get things intuitively with my new game kit. I never thought it can be used for more until today. 

I can create a large canvases online with just about any small idea I can come up with. Like an integrated MP3/Ogg player to a full on fledged out website with awesome click-abilities. It even loads up SUPER fast regardless if it is 50megs big! Tops out flash for sure, but I still need to work out on the security issues. Anyone can simply just go in and rewrite stuff if they are that pissed with me and my works. To all the potential hacker haters – I’m harmless and love freedom as much as you do. Bargain with me or something before acting on. I just want to entertain the masses with my own take on things. 

So besides that, I see much potential in this game suite. I will truly feel hopeless though if it never gains any ground. Now that I have a 10-6 job, It gives me a little more perspective in where to go.

One good social news is that I got a job. I’m now officially employed again! XD It’s been 4 years since my last employment.

In another news, I posted my game’s home website – DarkZeta.com yesterday night.  I’ll try to have a working prototype up by next month. I’ll do some test and design other cool things on site and make it grow.

Primarily I want this one game to get pushed with the simplest form on capitalizing on it. The game will be updated monthly to add new content and fixed bugs, as well as adding a sequel to it. I’m creating a new series with this and will be able to promote by natural means.

In the meantime, I’ll get some income to cover the cost of my side project.

I’m back to post something. Currently I’m going through some trials of life. I’m unemployed at the moment but working diligently on my HTML5 game. It’s gonna be my first admission on my general website GerardoLegend.com and also be posted on DarkZeta.com. My final desperate attempt for attention you can say. lol

As for my project Dark, which is DarkZeta, its based of my old concept game/story book Dark Ball. I changed the name two times in 15 years. The other name was Dark Sphere Chronicles, in where the “sphere” was already taken in another context. So then I went and just changed it to Zeta. Zeta has a meaning, but you have to play the game to find out.

Right now I just learned how to do the pathfinder code for the enemies to chase the main hero around. Those guys will be at a later point in the game. It’s all been done so that my html5 game can actually do the processing without much bugs.

After that my project will be done soon. I’m aiming it for the end of the month. Then after that I will be making another cool game that everyone will enjoy.

The plan here is that I will be trying to release a new game every month. Casual games included. I for sure have three other projects, but for now it will remain to be only 2D games. I’m going to be jumping into 3D polygonal games after I finish at least 12 game projects. The 3D game engine that  I will be using is unity3D.  They recently included in their suite a flash exporter, so you can play it in any web browser with 3D included. As well I can publish it on Android and iphones/ipads.

That’s my year long plan, to make games. First my html5 starting with Dark Zeta, then moving along with many game design ideas that I had for over 10 years now. Old but refreshed concepts that couldn’t be done before.

So much has passed in 2011, but I look forward to new things in a new year. The only thing I fear is the culmination of gunk that can throw a wrench to our way of life. Worrying though is one thing I’ll try not to do so much this year, so I don’t care anymore. I concluded if man wants to change – it just has to deal with the damage it’s doing and face the ultimate choice to survive.

This year is promised for the beginning of an end to the old way of thinking. I look forward to this transition, but at the same time I lament that such a transition there will be an epic tug into a new dark age. This one much more significant because we are the final generation that has to make a choice. A very hard choice, but which ever we choose, what ever there could be to hold hope, that we might be able to survive and then thrive from our own induced darkness.

I hope this year of the dragon gives us hope to change for the better.

I’m in a transition. I’m moving from SF to Boston again. This time to go around my troubles from school and get my way through to finish. Even though it might take me longer, I am not going to sacrifice a termination by the likes of folks who just want money. I know I’m troubled with academics, so I’m trying another route.

Well, I’m now just sitting in and waiting for my moment to move to better pastures. I’ll official attest on my site my plan to go about and find my own solution to my education. Seeing how grossed out my debt has become to a for-profit school like Ai, I don’t know if I ever will pay it off. In a rough estimate I can tell I’m up there in beyond the 30k. Its most what normally state colleges would apply on to students, plus the interest that I have to pay back will drive me straight down to the grave.

It doesn’t make any sense for me to continue, because I have a bad tendency of trying to better myself in different subjects. I can’t try again if I fail at a for-profit school general ed class because each one cost about 1500 for 4 credits. I just don’t have the monetary funds to survive in such an environment.  I as well went to talk to a few instructors about this life changing decision to move on to somewhere else. There are options, and i found a few that will hold me down until I find my spark.

One of the places I plan to get my education on is 3Dbuzz.com, a place for specifics on education in programming and interactivity. Also I found a place where it supplies all what I need in question of my focus without paying for it. Thanks to bill gates, it is possible. Ideally of course I would love to graduate and get things out of the way by now but my brain just won’t let me do that. So I have to take it slowly, and the cost of it isn’t feasible but I have only a  few classes left anyways so I’ll go back once I finish all my General Ed at my own pace.

Unfortunately there won’t be any art for a while. I’ve been trying to fix my state of mind. Recently a good friend of mine passed away and that got me thinking really hard on what I’m gonna do. I miss home so much, and miss my family and friends, but I need to keep going on my quest here.  I’ve been trying to get my mind together to get going with my friend’s project, but I’ve been procrastinating a whole lot. Today though I created a physical check list to remind me when I sit down on what to do, besides my alarms I set on my phone for the hours to work on the project. Its all me now, no excuse.

I’ll post animations of that project when I can get to it.
